Have you ever desired to go back and have a redo. Maybe a business venture wasn't as successful as you desired or a relationship went south. Whatever it is, the beauty of life is that today is a new day. Today you are given another 24 hours to do what you will. Here are a few steps to help you turn your clean slate into a beautiful masterpiece:
1. Take the lesson and run with it. Challenges and obstacles are here to make us wiser and stronger so we can effectively operate in the dreams and goals that we have. No need to beat yourself up. Everything is allowed for a reason. Just trust that God knows what He is doing and allowing to happen in your life. Trust that you are more than able to overcome it. You are more than a conqueror, so allow these situations to allow you to be who you already are.
2. Embrace the layers. There are many layers in a painting. When I took my first acrylic painting lesson, I was so amazed at the different techniques that were involved. The different colors used and how they were mixed together at times. It fascinated me. I believe sometimes we have this idea of how we think things should come together. I guess we still have this kid in us that thinks life is just like LEGOs or building blocks, which could not be further from the truth. Our authenticity is so unique and we all have different creative abilities. We can encourage and inspire each other when we share them with one another. I believe many times the things we encounter on a daily basis are just assisting us in the laying of the foundation for what we want. Relationships need to form to give us something we need, insight into something greater, and sometimes it's just for that moment. Try not to limit yourself with the blue LEGO when you really desire one that's aquamarine. Allow it to be created.
3. Let the past be. You will never get to the finish line if you are always running back to start. So, you didn't start out like you wanted to. It's not about how you begin, but how you finish. Don't worry about what could have happened, or would have, or should have. Focus more on the present and live in the moment. What is in the past has already happened and we cannot change that. Don't focus on the future because we are not there yet. We only have control over what is happening in the here and now. Live for today. You conquered yesterday and tomorrow has enough for you to enjoy.....tomorrow.
