"Chaos begins when your heart desires to move in one direction and you allow life to take you in another."
We have all experienced it at one time or another. You've been thinking about this dream business for years and you've finally made the decision to start it. The unexpected expense comes and you opt for the extra overtime. That dream goes back on the shelf once again. You're working out, eating right, focusing on better health, and sickness tries to attack your body. Now you find yourself having the conversation about how sick you are and how bad you feel. You've made a decision to connect more with your family and friends. Here comes the clash of the titans (personalities). Now you've gone from "I love everybody" to I'm not speaking to you anymore.
Yes, we've all been there. Life will have you going from one extreme to another. I want to share with you 3 exercises that helped me to get off of the seesaw of life. These exercises have helped me to break through the chaos and move forward with my desires. They will help you to stick with truth and keep away from the "shoulds" and the"cursed hows".
1. Develop Your Personal Mantra
Who are you? List the adjectives that describe you at your core. Create a personalized statement and spend time daily repeating it. It will keep you in remembrance of your true self when life is trying to convince you otherwise.
I am a beautiful, balanced, brilliant lady.
I am a strong, powerful, confident, courageous, woman.
I am a wise, wealthy, millionaire.
Whatever it is, let it speak to who you truly are. The more you say it, the more you will be reminded of it in situations that try to come against it.
2.Change Your Money Story
We all have one. For me, it was a long history of living paycheck to paycheck and bad credit. Lots, of daydreaming, hoping, wishing, and praying for money to come. So, I decided to change it. Just because you grew up watching a money story unfold in one way, doesn't mean you have to make it your own. You can write your own story. Let's begin with the following affirmations and you finish the sentences with your own new money story: (these are examples)
I am - responsible with money
I can - have all the money I want
I will - always make enough money to pay my bills every month
I choose - abundance and not lack
I have - more than enough money
I love - making money and having extra to help others
I create - products and services that add value to people and make money
I enjoy - having enough money for the things my family needs and desires
3. Stay in the Present
Take time everyday to say out loud what you "can" do. No more negative talk about what can't and won't happen and what's not working. You can launch that new business. You can pay off your debt. You can lose the weight. You can be healthier and free from sickness and disease. You can take that vacation with your family.
Begin to build that mindset muscle by doing these exercises daily and watch your life change. Be sure to leave your comments below. I'd love to hear all about your progress.
