Sometimes it seems that distractions are lurking around every corner. At times, they come so easy and it's only human for us to be frustrated when we find that we are off course because of something that seems more interesting or more exciting. There was a time that every month I found myself moving my entire "to do" list over to the next month. I just couldn't seem to get it done. The whole process of still needing to "get it done" left me feeling disappointed.
How could it not be done when I am the queen of planning?
Well, I will share with you a little lesson with huge rewards I learned from billionaire Daymond John. Yes billionaires can be distracted to, no one is exempt. He writes his goals down twice a day. WHAT! WHO HAS TIME TO DO THAT?!?! Obviously, billionaires do. I started writing in my journal all of my goals for the month and in the morning I write them down in my daily planner. You know....right in the to do section....considering I DO NOT keep a to do list. I found this to be a perfect place to put them to keep them before my eyes. Every time I have to look at my schedule for what's next for the day - I see them. Every time I open my journal - I see them. This keeps me success minded. So when all of those lovely things come to pull me in another direction, I am quickly reminded of what's more important.
Yes it works, I started out the month with 16 goals for the month of April. Today is the 18th and I have 9 left and three of those I am actively working on today. Go ahead and it get started. Set some goals you'd like to accomplish for the next 12 days, put this process to work, and enjoy the results.
